Overview
This app uses your device's microphone and camera (with your explicit permission) to analyze public speaking.
We do not save or store your raw speech/audio/video. We only keep non-identifying analysis results to improve
accuracy and for research. We do not store any personally identifiable information (PII) unless you sign up
for an account, in which case we store only what's necessary for authentication and account features.
Data We Access
- Microphone & Camera: Accessed only after you grant permission. Used in real time to compute speaking-related metrics. Camera recordings temporarily saved only on your device during analysis. We do not store any recordings on our servers or anywhere else.
- No Raw Media Storage: We do not save raw audio, raw video, or full transcripts on our servers.
- Derived Metrics Only: We may compute non-identifying performance metrics (e.g., speaking pace, pause rate, filler-word rate, timing/energy scores). These are numbers/statistics, not your media.
What We Store
- Analysis Results: We may store anonymized or aggregated analysis outputs for research and to validate/measure accuracy.
- No linking to raw media: Analysis results are not stored alongside raw audio/video.
PII and Accounts
- Sign-up Only: We only collect PII (e.g., name, email) if you create an account or contact us.
- Use of PII: Used for authentication, communication, and providing account features. Not sold.
Legal Basis
- Consent: For microphone and camera access.
- Legitimate Interests: For improving analysis quality and research using derived, non-identifying metrics.
Your Choices
- Permissions: You can revoke mic/camera permissions anytime in your browser settings. But please note that without camera access, you won't be able to use the app.
- Data Requests: Contact us to request deletion of stored analysis associated with your account (if any).
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may use service providers to help run the app (e.g., hosting/analytics),
bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements, where applicable.
Retention
Derived analysis results may be retained for up to 12 months (or less) for research and accuracy checks, unless
you request deletion where applicable.
Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
